The settings shown on this pg do not correspond to what I see in my ekiga (v. 3.02, plus I'm using Arch, not Ubuntu). For example it says "4. Preference settings -Go to Edit/Preferences -Go to General/SoundEvents and set alternative output device to default." There is no "alternative output device" in my ekiga prefs > general > sound events window. Similarly, it says "-Go to Protocols/NetworkSettings NAT Traversal Method: STUN": I have no "NAT transversal method" under protocols > network settings. I should mention that I do have a working ekiga account set up at the moment. But I can't seem to add voipcheap as a way to make outgoing calls to the PSTN.
It worked for me.
GREAT!
Now... in windows I get the address book automatically... at any computer i logg in from.
It seems to be an "addreessbook data pseudo-server" whithin my account that sends this information to me wherever i am.
How could I see my voicecheap... or 12voip (which is the same)contacts in Ekiga?....In ubuntu 8.1... of course!
LDAP ...Maybe?

If anyone knows something practical to get the address contacts... would be even grater!!
